DIY: concrete planters
It was time that I had some concrete planters in my pipeline, after finding a tutorial on the internet where the author explained in great detail how to make them. Simple, fast enough, and, once successful, also very cute!
Planters that are not very big, but essentially decorative, ideal for small cactus, moss, or at most a single cyclamen.
This is the page where I found the entire description to achieve: http://lindsaystephenson.com/blog/2012/08/diy-concrete-planters.html..
The day to devote to this creation has come, and I must say that the result despite still needs to be a bit improved, is not bad… I’m already thinking about what to do with this technique, because concrete is a material I love, both in its final form, either during processing.
I had fun with my sister to join two shades of cement, one white and one gray, to find the right tone of color (neither too light nor too dark), we guessed a bit ‘the amount of sand to be added to mixture, as well as for the water, and we also realized that two pounds of cement were too few to make all the vessels that were predetermined to do…
So, after work, we ended up with 4 jars in total, split evenly, and several corrections to be applied in the implementation of the next, such as space for plants, serving definitely a bit ‘bigger.
My favorite thing: those bubbles on the surface that once dried have left their mark around the jars ….
