3D owls

The months of preparation are over.
My new creatures are ready to be finally presented.
The idea came from the illustrations of owls made a few months ago: http://www. sandracaleffi.com / a-history-in-the-woods /
Cut into the wood, I had to remove the tufts on the head that … et voila! here is born the owls ….
The dimensions at the moment are three:
There are those “stretched”, hung in the hanger, which can decorate the wall; then the ones I made with thicker wood, which instead rely directly on the table, in two sizes, large and small.
Each piece is different because it is made by me by hand, and each owl is decorated with pieces of recovered iron as washers, screws old, rusted wire, or details like buttons or bows made of glass and metal.

Then there are other, big ones and small that you can keep on the table, or with a magnet attached to the base or in the back, they become magnets…




From here is born the idea to make small wooden leaves, each colored differently, each original and stamped by me on the back.

And that’s the story about how Raw Ideas symbol (the leaf) is born.
